#MIHBlog - Ruby Red - Exclusive Author Intro and Interview

Click for a chance to win!

Welcome Muse It Hot Readers ;) We are introducing our Muse It Hot authors and also asking a couple interview questions that might be fun to know about them. We’ll be sharing our MIH authors with you as often as we can…promise.

So, for today - please put your hands together for Muse It Hot Author, Ruby Red, an erotic paranormal romance (with a nice touch of BDSM) author who writes about secrets, lies, control, and vampires  in her upcoming Wild Darkness Calls theme story, Dark Secret due to release this spring…the first of a trilogy; )

Please tell our readers a little about yourself – 5 things most people don’t know about you; )

·        I don’t eat fish, mollusk or seafood – the  mere thought makes me nauseous
·        I’m double jointed and when younger I  could go into a ‘crab’ position and bring my ankles over my shoulders, onto the floor, level with my head  - interesting thought  for an erotic writer
·        I saved a 3 year old’s life, whose mother went into a panic when the little girl started choking
·        I’ve always wanted to write stories  but never got round to doing it
·        Being fed-up when people ask if I’ve had a boob job, and no, I haven’t – it’s all about decent push-up bras…

What’s your favorite movie? Why?

The Entity. Released in 1982 based on the novel by Frank De Felitta.
It’s my earliest memory of a supernatural film whereby a spirit/invisible force invades and takes over a human body. I’ve had numerous experiences myself and can totally relate to this film

What’s your favorite TV series? Why?

The Saint with Roger Moore.
A man in a suit with a touch of a particular after-shave about him – drives me wild.

Where would you like to go for a week with a group of friends and why?

It’s got to be a haunted building and watching my friends squirm with fear.

Tell us a few ways ideas have come to you.

The stories that I write in the supernatural/paranormal or any other realm are seen, heard, felt and brought to me in dreams or visited by me through astral projection. The erotica ideas can come from something witnessed visually or audibly that I can jot down to read and possibly create into a short story at a later date.  In this trilogy being published on Muse it Hot, some ideas I’ve gleaned from conversations at work or even looked at a guy and the way he holds his head or smiles for example.

Favorite Holiday?

Ahem…presume you mean family holiday?
Love them all.

Favorite Male Movie star?

This is a toss-up between Sean Connery and Clint Eastwood. Sean looking suave and handsome as James Bond, the guy you want to sweep you off your feet with his gorgeous greying hairy chest or Clint in his Spaghetti westerns showing his rugged looks beneath his cowboy hat and bad boy poncho – ah…fantasies.

Favorite Female Movie star?

Sigourney Weaver – great all round actress

Favorite author you read as a kid?

Alistair Maclean, Stephen King

What’s your favorite thing about writing?  Least favorite?

Favorite: Being overwhelmed with ideas and getting them down on paper or pc. Erotic Fiction is escapism, something needed sometimes in this rather, busy, hectic world.

Least:  Not getting the ideas down quick enough

What’s your burning question for your readers?

Does my trilogy of erotica excite you? Do you find the sexual elements stimulate you? If there is an erotic idea you’d love to read, let me know and I will try to include it into another story.

List your links (website, FB, Twitter, Blog, etc.)

I have none at the moment, only email.

#MIHBlog - Meg Amor - Exclusive Author Intro and Interview

Welcome Muse It Hot Readers ;) We are introducing our Muse It Hot authors and also asking a couple interview questions that might be fun to know about them. We’ll be sharing our MIH authors with you as often as we can…promise.

So, for today - please put your hands together for Muse It Hot Author, Meg Amor, an erotic romance author who writes deeper, darker secrets about relationships (until they come to the light that is;) in her upcoming Wild Darkness Calls theme story, Dark War due to release this spring…with a good possibility of more stories coming soon after; )

Please tell our readers a little about yourself – 5 things most people don’t know about you; )

1.      I have a deep love of Russian people and things. For some mad reason, I want to see the onion domes of St Petersburg in the winter?! I have romantic ideas of wearing my big Polish winter coat with fake fur cuffs and lapels (and I’ll need the fake fur hat—obviously!)
2.    I can put my thumb on a photograph and accurately get someone’s inner essence, their emotions and motivations.
3.    As a pilot, my favorite planes to fly are open cock-pit bi-planes. I’m happiest in slow flight, the gentle waft into the air on rotation from a grass air strip. Heaven!
4.    I have a deep interest in emotional medicine—finding the emotional cause behind someone’s illnesses. I fixed my own lifelong thyroid disease last year, finding the patterning for it.
5.     In my last lifetime in World War Two, I flew in the ATA – Air Transport Auxiliary as a woman ferry pilot in England. I got my rating up to the big four engine planes like the Avro Lancaster’s.

Tell us about the genres you write and what or who inspired you to write it.

To my surprise, I write Romance Erotica, about loving committed relationships whether there are two or three people involved, but I absolutely love it.

When I hit 50, some part of me rebelled and I realized I wasn’t ready to hang up my sensuality shoes yet. I wanted to read a good steamy love story with a happy ending. The characters trotting around my head compelled me (read: Cosmic cattle prod) to get them down on ‘paper.’ I started out with a ‘nice wee love story,’ then it got complicated…

Henry, my older black musician falls in love with Izzy, his younger, married white New Zealander boss. He’s also got a best friend Charlie…

Nicknamed ‘Bloody Charlie’ by me! I kept telling him to ‘go away.’ Well…words slightly more forceful than that! Finally, I gave him one wee scene to run with. That will keep him quiet, I thought. But it didn’t…now he’s a MC in the ‘troika’ short story and trilogy coming up!

Most of my stories feature the past lives of the characters, in World War One and Two, France, Russia and England. I like the intricate connection that we can’t see on the surface when we look at an unusual love story.

What’s your favorite movie? Why?

I can only choose one? L Okay…Top Gun. Why? A love story, planes, energy and speed! I’ve been on the runway at Oahu airport behind F-18’s taking off. You can’t beat that sound or feel when they hit the burners…gorgeous.

What’s your favorite TV series? Why?

Hawaii 50 – Even though I’m a New Zealander, Hawaii, is my American home state. I got my American citizenship in the court house in Hilo on the Big Island. J So anything featuring my home state gives my spirit a lift.

The perfect tropical beach to take friends to;)

Where would you like to go for a week with a group of friends and why?

To Bora Bora in Tahiti, and those delicious looking ‘grass huts’ over the water. Gorgeous! I’d love to go with a group of friends, so we can all relax, unwind, sleep, get refreshed, drink every cocktail known to man and connect with the freeing energy of the islands. FUN and FREEDOM!!

Tell us a few ways ideas have come to you.

I’m a day-dreamer and love fantasizing. I always seem to have people trotting around my head, just dying to tell their love story to me, showing me glimpses of their lives. I’ve always been interested in great love stories. In my years as a therapist, I’ve collected people’s unusual relationship stories. They intrigue me. I incorporate my own past lives into stories.

Meg - toes in sand;)

Favorite Holiday?

(Sorry, going to do a New Zealander version of a favorite holiday LOL )

Going home to Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.

~ Snorkeling and swimming in our gorgeous tropical waters, sinking my toes into the soft sand. Eating fabulous local fusion food. Sitting on a lanai, with the warm night air enveloping me and the island energy easing the kinks out of my soul. Eating Mauna Loa mac nuts until I look like one, buying fresh sweet plumeria leis every day and stocking up on Hawaiiana!

Sweet Plumeria Leis fresh every day;)

Favorite Male Movie star?

Morgan Freeman – an unusual deep man. Not your average bear.

Favorite Female Movie star?

Helen Mirren – Russian background. And she’s got so much character and charm. And very sexy I think, very Russian!

Favorite author you read as a kid?

Nancy Drew – Carolyn Keene – I love mystery books. I thought she was fabulous.

What’s your favorite thing about writing?  Least favorite?

Favorite thing – Letting the characters run wild and seeing what they’re going to do next. I usually just let them do their own thing and try to keep up. I’m really just running a dictation service, trotting around after them, scribbling/typing madly. And trying not to argue with them too much! And I LOVE the editing process. A chunk of story gets turned into a gorgeous gem, as you cut and polish every facet of it. It’s as much fun for me as writing the story.

Least favorite – Writing the synopsis! Ugh. A sadistic thing required of writers to promote their stories, in a submission. Gnash, grumble!

List your links (website, FB, Twitter, Blog, etc.)

I have to get organized…sorry. I’m working my way up to it. Aaron’s death has slowed me down. But I’ll get there.

Wild Darkness Calls – Theme Story –

#MIHBlog - J.T. Seate - Exclusive Author Intro and Interview

Welcome Muse It Hot Readers ;) We are introducing our Muse It Hot authors and asking a couple interview questions that might be fun to know about them. We’ll be sharing our MIH authors with you as often as we can…promise.

So, for today - please put your hands together for Muse It Hot Author, J.T. Seate, one of our contemporary erotic suspense romance authors, whose story Dark Sanctuary, one of the Wild Darkness Calls themed stories – will be releasing in the Spring 2014 – can’t wait;) Naughty but Nice...

Please tell our readers a little about yourself – 5 things most people don’t know about you; )

I was born in Hollywood, California, but grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas where I began my fling in a number of artistic endeavors.

I’ve been a guitarist in a band, sold artwork and freelanced for various photo publications.

After graduating from Texas Christian University, a lifetime love of travel began. Combining that desire with a passion for photography, I sold photos to travel companies and sports magazines.

All of these endeavors were fun, but I made a living working as an investigator and a part-time tour guide.

Writing is my current passion.

Tell us about the genres you write and what or who inspired you to write it.

Life inspires me to write everything from humor to the erotic to the macabre, and I’m especially keen on stories that transcend genre pigeonholing. Steven King is probably my biggest influence as I enjoy the mysterious and macabre, although sweet memoirs and redemptive tales come along now and then to maintain a balance. Even with sex and violence, there is always redemption in the end of one kind or another, has to be.

What’s your favorite movie? Why?

There are so many, but I’ll hold it to a couple. 1980’s schmaltzy “Somewhere in Time” with the late Christopher Reeve struck a chord with its romantic pulse tied in the paranormal. Also, “Sling Blade” did a wonderful job of illustrating the power of love, disharmony, and regret.

What’s your favorite TV series? Why?

Currently, “The Walking Dead.” Yeah, it’s extreme, but there is love and tenderness to be found, as I don’t usually go for the zombie or gore productions.

Where would you like to go for a week with a group of friends and why?

How about a semi-deserted island where the water is turquoise and bathing suits are optional. Why? For story ideas. What else? Ha ha.

Tell us a few ways ideas have come to you.

Surprisingly, I get most of my ideas from overheard snippets of conversation. A shared experience or a joke, after marinating in my noggin, often turns into something much more.

Favorite Holiday?

It’s a Halloween/Valentines split.

Favorite Male Movie star?

Johnny Depp

Favorite Female Movie star?

Juliet Lewis

Favorite author you read as a kid?

Harper Lee and Shirley Jackson

What’s your favorite thing about writing?  Least favorite?

Favorite: Turning words into people and places. Make-believe can be a great healer. Sometimes it can even save us. I like to think of fiction as a mirror version of reality set to a greater or lesser degree of distortion depending on what genre a story is cast. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a few book signings and there is nothing quite like seeing the person who is taking part of you home. But sales on the internet is darn good too.

Least: There is little downside other than the occasional writer’s block.

What’s your burning question for your readers?

I want to move you, jolt you with my stories. In short, give you part of myself to ponder through my characters, so tell me what you want?

Wild Darkness Calls – themed story:

Dark Sanctuary

Dreams of better times fills the man’s nights as he listens to the woman move around her house and wonders, What if…?

#MIHBlog - Kay Dee Royal - Exclusive Author Intro and Interview

Welcome Muse It Hot Readers ;) We are introducing our Muse It Hot authors and also asking a couple interview questions that might be fun to know about them. We’ll be sharing our MIH authors with you as often as we can…promise.

So, for today - please put your hands together for Muse It Hot Author, Kay Dee Royal, one of our paranormal erotic romance authors, who writes more toward the dark, sizzling sinister side of erotic romance – enjoy;)

Please tell our readers a little about yourself – 5 things most people don’t know about you; )

I used to fish local fishing tournaments with my husband or father (and sometimes we won:)

I love to knit or crochet easy stuff, like afghans or scarves (it’s therapeutic)

I love hunting for morel mushrooms in the spring (love hiking in the woods)

I love the editing process – it helps make my story stronger

I have two feline companions – sister & brother – Izzy and Crocks

Tell us about the genres you write and what or who inspired you to write it.

From early childhood, I’ve always been a fantasy/sci-fi geek, and when the terminology changed to ‘paranormal’…well, that described exactly what I wanted to write because it was everything I loved to read. Shifters, werewolves, vampires, ghosts, witches, demons, angels…all of those amazing characters could become a story-star in my stories.

Kate Douglas (amazing author of paranormal erotic romance) turned me toward the erotic romance side of paranormal. Love her strong style and her character’s strong voices...oneday I’m going to meet Kate ; )

What’s your favorite movie? Why?

I didn’t really have a favorite – I watched Double Creature Feature (this is really dating me) and went crazy for all the special effects that made the movies bigger than life :) Then I went crazy for all of the Indiana Jones movies, The Mummy series of movies (newer version with Brandon Frazier), and the kid-side of me enjoys the Percy Jackson movies (I love Greek Gods).

What’s your favorite TV series? Why?

Wow, I have a number of favorites – Vampire Diaries (but I no longer get CW station, which bites because a lot of great paranormal series air on that station), Teen Wolf, Being Human, Almost Human, (I don’t get True Blood or I’d be watching that one too), Bitten, Supernatural (I love Sam and Dean), and Grimm – the special effects, the vampires, werewolves…all food for fodder in my writing. If it’s a paranormal or supernatural series – I’m in…gotta watch it; )

Thank goodness we can tape these series and watch them at our convenience – or I’d be watching TV all the time!

Where would you like to go for a week with a group of friends and why?

I have a wonderful place I go for retreat…and it usually turns into a writer’s retreat (and I have taken some writer friends with me). It’s a spiritual place in Southwest Michigan (not attached to any religion)…sort of out in the sticks and the energy there is amazingly tranquil and serene. Wildlife galore abounds and the backdrop of the area takes my breath away, especially in the winter. It’s the perfect get-away for recharging, and sharing it with friends makes it all the greater.

Tell us a few ways ideas have come to you.

Observing – open to every possibility, like while driving I notice a box beside the road…my mind takes off – it could very well be Pandora’s box *grins* no telling what’s inside, but what if a person were to stop and pick it up…take it home and unleash the Kraken, or a Demon, or an Angel, or a baby something…

Also watching my favorite series gives me ideas…or reading books, articles, etc.

Favorite Holiday?

I like the spirit of heart that comes with any holiday, but I’m not big into the commercializing of it – so don’t fall into the buying and giving of ‘things.’ When I was younger, it was sort of programmed into me to follow the crowd…now I sort of do my own thing – I’d rather spend time with loved ones (time seems more of a gift to me than anything money can buy;)

Favorite Male Movie star?

Hugh Jackman J Excellent Wolfman

Favorite Female Movie star?

Kate Beckinsale – she kicks butt in Van Helsing (with Hugh Jackman)J

Favorite author you read as a kid?

C.S. Lewis, Jules Verne, Madeleine L’ Engle – I loved anything sci-fi or fantasy (as I still do) :)

What’s your favorite thing about writing?  Least favorite?

Favorite: Giving the pen over to the story-stars and discovering their story as it unfolds…what a rushJ

Not so Favorite: The pressure I put on myself for each writing project…it takes the fun out of it until I finally catch myself in the act and take action—shake it off, kick it to the curb, and get rolling again; )

What’s your burning question for your readers?

What’s your favorite trait in a story hero and/or heroine?
